Esther Fernandez-Molina is Associate Professor in Criminology and Criminal Law at the University of Castilla-La Mancha since 2002 and she is a research member of Criminology Research Centre of this University. She received her doctoral degree in 2004 with the topic “Juvenile justice system in Spanish democracy: between education and punishment.” Her research interests have always centered on the juvenile justice system. She has been part of many working groups in Juvenile Justice both national and international. She also developed her research work in other topics related with Criminology: attitudes to punishment, crime and mass media, fear of crime, and trust in legal authorities.

Maria Jose Bernuz Beneitez is Ph.D. of Law and Professor of Philosophy of Law and Sociology of Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Zaragoza (Spain). She has directed and participated in several national and European research projects. Her publications as books, chapters, or articles are related, among other issues, to juvenile justice and juvenile delinquency, the reality of children’s rights, human rights and criminal justice, security policies. She is part of the editorial board of some national and international journals on these subjects.

Raquel Bartolome-Gutierrez is Ph.D. of Psychology and Associate Professor in Psychology Department of the University of Castilla-La Mancha. She is a research member of Criminology Research Centre of this University since 1994 and she received her doctoral degree in 2001 with the topic “Juvenile delinquency in girls.” Dr. Bartolome’s research interests include the antisocial behavior, gender and violence, and lifestyle in youth. She has participated in the International Selfreport Delinquency (ISRD) study in Spain.
