Centers for Disease Control and Prevention CDC Health Alert Network

The CDC Health Alert Network provides the public health infrastructure for access to information, communications, and distance learning at the state and community level. If a Health Alert Notice has been issued regarding a specific disease in a particular country, the quarantine station personnel distribute copies of the notice to each arriving adult traveler in that country. Different levels of notices are distributed to professionals, travelers, and airline personnel. At airports a trigger to activate all preventive techniques is a combination of conditions that potentially can cause the dangerous situation to affect people.

CDC's Traveler's Health

CDC’s Travelers’ Health is a program that provides information on global disease outbreaks and issues travel notices and other information, to help provide information to individuals concerning precautions to be taken and what to do if he/she becomes ill from that disease.
